OUR COTTONS

We print our cotton digitally to order. This means colours are not as UV resistant as conventionally printed fabrics. Note that slings may need to be replaced seasonally.

The reason we are able to offer quite so many pattern options is because we print our fabric digitally and to order. But this mean the colours are not as UV resistant as conventionally printed fabrics.

Our cotton is pre-shrunk and pre-washed. We are confident that the cotton canvas is "colour-fast" and can be re-washed by machine.

The print methods that allow us to produce such "personal" quantities, however, remain quite new and so we simply cannot guarantee "light-fastness" in all conditions.

We know this can be a problem with our canvas slings for deckchairs and directors chairs. Slings may have to be replaced at the end of a season and this is why all our frames are shipped with their original sling as a spare. We are testing new materials all the time and hope to be able to offer firmer guarantees soon.

For now, our advice is not to leave your Rosablue product outside for prolongued periods & not to leave the cotton outside overnight.

But to avoid disappointment, if you have a query, please get in touch prior to placing your order. Certainly do not place one unless you are happy with the risks we have outlined here.

Washing: Our cotton is pre-washed and pre-shrunk before the slings are sewn. If you wash them the slings will get tighter, but do not worry if you think they appear not to fit: the weave has just tightened and will yield again as soon as they are used again.
